Overmountain Vineyards’ tasting room is located in a quaint guest cottage overlooking the Tryon Foothills. Our team loves welcoming first-time guests and regulars alike—sharing our wines, our process, and the region’s viticultural story.
Season: Open seasonally June–July
Picking days/hours (in season): Wednesday–Saturday, 7am–1pm
Price: $6 per pound

Before You Go
What to bring for a great pick
Closed-toe shoes, a hat, and sunscreen (recommended)
Water bottle (summer mornings warm up quickly)
A cooler in the car for the ride home (helps berries stay firm)
Blueberry season in the Foothills is short and sweet. For the best picking, arrive early, plan on a relaxed pace, and bring a container/cooler for the drive. Fresh-picked berries are great for eating, baking, and freezing for later.

When is the U-Pick Blueberry Patch open?
Our U-Pick patch is open seasonally during June–July.
What are your picking days and hours?
Picking is available Wednesday–Saturday, 7am–1pm during the season.
How much do blueberries cost?
Blueberries are $6 per pound.
Do you provide buckets/containers?
Yes—buckets are provided.
Are the blueberries organic?
They are organically grown and un-sprayed.
What should I wear to pick blueberries?
We recommend closed-toe shoes, a hat, and sunscreen.
Do I need a reservation?
No reservation is typically required for U-Pick. Availability can change with weather and crop conditions—call if you’re traveling in from out of town.
