Overmountain Vineyards’ Tasting Room is situated in a quaint guest cottage overlooking the Tryon Foothills. We strive to give first-time visitors and regulars alike the best winery experience—sharing our knowledge about everything from our grapes and winemaking philosophies to the area’s rich viticultural history.

Our friendly tasting room staff, diverse outdoor areas for gathering or lingering, and exceptional wines have made us a favorite stop for locals and tourists alike.

Plan your visit

Reservations recommended. Our normal summer hours are Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday, 12 PM–6 PM. Friday & Saturday, 12-7 PM. Tastings are conducted under our pavilion and outdoors and are seated.

Tastings are for guests 21+.

We offer two tasting options—regular tastings during open hours and elevated tastings by appointment.


REGULAR TASTING
  • Price: $20
  • Includes: Samples of our current release wines
ELEVATED TASTING (by appointment)
  • Price: $50
  • Includes: Time with our winemaker, a private wine tasting, and a tour of the vineyards and winery—paired with current vintages and select unreleased wines from the barrel
  • Max size: 10 people per session

Due to the intimate size of our tasting room, we are unable to accommodate large groups without reservations.

Do I need a reservation?

Reservations are recommended. Large groups cannot be accommodated without reservations.
